India-Afghan air freight corridor to open soon

Undeterred by Pakistan's concerted attempt to block road access to Afghanistan, the freight corridor between India and Afghanistan is on the verge of becoming a reality. The first Indian flight, which will fly over the Pakistani airspace like civilian planes do, will take off either this weekend or early next week.
The corridor is aimed at providing the private sector in Afghanistan with a platform to increase their exports to the vast Indian market by air with minimum costs.
